Have you ever been there and worry about how far your GP or Family doctor practice is from your house! This worry however, is a daily concern for the people of Butebi village in Mityana district in Uganda. In order for the people of this village and sorrounding villages to have access to medical help they have to travel almost 10 miles to find their nearest medical Clinic. For the past 10 years i have obsessively worried and thinking of ways i could change the lives of  these villages. In 2009, while speaking with old friend and pastor of local baptist church in mityana, we came up with a few ideas and one that stood out was setting up a medical centre hence the Kisa Medical Centre was birthed.

Short Mission Trips To Africa

Fast forward to 2011, Sandfield Travel got a couple who wanted to go to Africa on mission trip and safari. They wanted to see the gorillas but also contribute positively to the lives of people whose country they were visiting. Now it’s 2012 and the couple leading a group of 7 people on a short mission trip to come and complete the medical clinic from 15th April -9 May 2012.

Updates will be here on the progress of the clinic and their trip in Uganda. We still need help and volunteers for Kisa medical Centre to be completed and be sustainable. Your help will have touched the 4000 people who will have access to to this medical Centre.
