Overview
This 12 day tailor-made private Uganda Safari gives you an opportunity to see Uganda’s main game parks; including Murchison Falls National park, Bwindi Impenetrable, Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth National park and Lake Mburo for Zebras. On this trip you will get to see many wildlife in their natural habitats like lions, elephants etc. and many bird species and many monkeys as well as the mighty mountain Gorillas. You will also meet many amazing people and their cultures and learn why Uganda was voted the friendliest country in Africa.
Day 1
12-Day Uganda Safari & Gorilla Trekking
Welcome to Uganda! Entebbe -Kampala
Your driver/guide will be at Entebbe Airport to pick you up from your flight and takes you directly to your lodge in Kampala. Spend a night here.

Day 2
Kampala via Rhino sanctuary to Murchison Falls
Today’s journey will take you north from Kampala to Murchison Falls National Park. Along the way, you will visit Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary where you will go for a game walk with an experienced ranger to the rhinos giving you a unique opportunity to view them at close range.
Kidepo Valley and Murchison Falls National Parks once had both black and white rhinos; however, widespread poaching during the Idi Amin era resulted in the disappearance of these majestic animals from the wild.
Foundedin1998, Rhino Fund Uganda works to reintroduce black and white rhinos into Uganda and runs a breeding programme.
You will stop for lunch and a beer at Hemmings way in Masindi
You will be staying at an incredible lodge overlooking the River.

Day 3

Game Drive in Murchison Falls and hike to the top of the falls.
Get ready for an early wake-up today!
In the early morning hours animals are the most active, the sun is not yet so bright and temperatures are more relaxed. It offers the best time to spot wild animals. After an early breakfast, you will go on a game drive to explore the northern part of the park.
You will come eye-to-eye with the African animal kingdom: elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, lions, leopards, different species of antelope and many tropical birds can be spotted during the game drive.
You will take a boat safari up the Nile River to Murchison Falls in the afternoon. Carefully being watched by crocodiles, hundreds of hippos, buffaloes, water birds, monkeys and all the other thirsty wildlife that the Nile attracts. You will reach the base of the 43-meter high Murchison falls, which approach with a thunderous sound.
After the boat safari, you will hike to the top of the falls. From here, you have a wonderful view and fantastic photo opportunities!
Return to your comfortable lodge, to enjoy a good meal and enjoy the views

Day 4
Boat Safari on Delta-To Lake Albert or a second game drive
The Nile Delta is where the Victoria Nile flows into Lake Albert. A boat safari down the river towards Lake Albert is a“must do” for every bird watcher as the banks of the delta are home to hundreds of bird species including the rare and prehistoric-looking shoebill stork. Also, we will see hundreds of hippos and maybe even bathe elephants and giant crocs.
Come back to your lodge in time for lunch. Have an afternoon to relax or do another game.

Day 5
Murchison Falls – Fort portal
Early morning you will set off to your next destination, and you will spend a night here in Fort portal. It is a beautiful town overlooking the famous Mountain of the moon (Rwenzori) with many crater lakes. Staying here will reduce driving, giving you a good time to relax and enjoy the trip better.

Day 6
Fort Portal – Ishasha – Tree-climbing lions
After breakfast, you will set off to Ishasha. On the way, you will stop at the equator to take a photo before continuing to ishasha. The Ishasha area is famous for its tree-climbing lions. To escape from the heat during the day, the lions here have learned how to climb the fig trees. If you are lucky, you might spot a few during your game drive, so keep your eyes open and look up! Besides these famous lions, there is other interesting wildlife to be seen, like buffalo and the Uganda kob.
After lunch, you will go for an afternoon game drive looking for the famous tree-climbing lions.
In the early evening, you will come back to your lodge (Jungle lodge) for dinner and rest for today.

Day 7
Ishasha – Buhoma ( Bwindi)
This morning after breakfast, you will go for another game drive on the way out of the park. Another chance to look for the tree climbing lions. You will then continue to your next destination. Buhoma area of Bwindi forest.

Day 8
Buhoma – Gorilla Tracking in Bwindi
Your long-awaited time has arrived. Today you will set out in the morning to go for your gorilla tracking experience. The trek can take between 2-8hrs but the excitement of coming face to face with these amazing animals will take after away all the tiredness.

Day 9
Buhoma – Lake Bunyonyi
Today it will be an early morning wake up. After breakfast, you set off to Lake Bunyonyi. Getting here in late morning. Have lunch and start exploring this beautiful place. You will go on canoeing trip to the small islands. In evening, you can sit and relax while watching the sunset.

Day 10
Lake Bunyonyi – Lake Mburo National Park
After breakfast, you will drive to Lake Mburo National park, one of Uganda’s smallest parks, but certainly not to be underestimated. Mburo is home to Zebra, Eland and Impala, and an abundance of other wildlife – not to mention the lake itself, which is teeming with Hippos and Crocodiles! However, you can now see Giraffes there too. You will stay just outside the park boundaries, but it will feel like being in the middle of the park. You have a great view of the park and its wildlife from your verandah and restaurant.
You will go for an evening bicycle safari after lunch and an evening game drive before returning to your lodge for dinner.

Day 11
Lake Mburo National park – Entebbe
Today, you will set off for a very early morning walking safari in Lake Mburo national park. The walk is about 2-3 hours. Coming back to the lodge for breakfast and then leave for Entebbe. On the way, you will stop for lunch at the equator.

Day 12
Departure
Today is your last day, depending on your flight time; we may be able to squeeze a morning activity in and around Entebbe like the Entebbe botanical gardens.
