4 Days Rwanda Gorilla Tour

Overview

Rwanda has the second largest number of mountain gorillas in Africa and so provides intrepid travellers the perfect setting of mountains and tropical terrain to go in search of this impressive primate.Rwanda also provides an opportunity to glimpse chimpanzees and colobus monkeys in the Nyungwe National Park.Kigali, the country’s capital is also well worth a visit with its amazing views over terraced hills, as well as housing the Kigali Memorial Centre, documenting the atrocities of the civil war in 1994.

Day 1

Arrival And Transfer At Volcanoes National Park

Meet and greet upon arrival at Kigali International Airport by our driver-guide. Your driver-guide may propose a city tour of Kigali  which includes the Genocide Memorial centre at Gisozi. After, transfer to Kinigi at the foothills of the Volcanoes National park.

Day 2

Gorilla Trekking and evening Relax at your Lodge

After breakfast in the morning at 6: 30am, you will depart for the park headquarters where your driver-guide will accomplish the necessary formalities for you. You will meet your ranger guide(s) for a briefing about the greatest animal experience ever!

Then after briefing you will drive to the starting point where your driver guide will stay at the parking site and you start hiking accompanied by game ranger also who is the guide of the day, These are ex-poachers who have experience of these endangered species, You will be allowed 1hr with gorillas then after embark to the starting point and driver back to your lodge for overnight stay on Full board Basis.

The time you will spend with the gorillas is not certain since it is determined by the Movement of gorillas and the condition of weather in the forest.

Day 3

Dianne Fossey and cultural tour

Today you will hike to Dianne Fossey burial site. – This is one person in the whole world after 18 years study of these amazing animals could be said to have saved them for us. Her effort led to other governments in Uganda, Rwanda and Congo to start conservation efforts.

In evening, you will do a cultural tour in the area to learn about the people this small but fascinating country.

Day 4

Transfer back to Kigali

After breakfast, drive back to Kigali to catch you flight.
