Tanzania Safaris – A Journey that will Surprise and Inspire
Whether it is the captivating Serengeti safari or Kilimanjaro, the highest mountain in Africa, Tanzania has so much to surprise and inspire first time visitors or repeat visitors alike.
Imagine flying into Kilimanjaro airport…driving deep into the heart of rural Tanzania and having the first view of the highest peak in Africa…a dream come true…for those who take the steps to make it happened.
As you drive through the rugged roads…you arrive at your hotel. This hotel matches your imagination…modern amenities, clean and serene. You you be greeted with a smile and a jambo which means hello in Swahili will be uttered many times over. Everywhere you turn you will feel a warm welcome. This is Africa…
Tanzania is a country that has diversity in culture, landscape and language.
It has 45 million people (UN, 2010) and over 120 tribal groups. The most well known tribal group is the Maasai. They mainly dwell in the northern region of Tanzania.
Take a walk with the Maasai and visit their dwellings and see how they take care of their herds. Maybe you want to observe how they cook and share a meal with them. The chief of the tribe may show you how to use a spear. This semi-nomadic tribe still needs to protect themselves from wild animals sometimes.
Enjoy having a cup of Tanzanian coffee with the locals and buy some for friends and family back home.
No theme park can match the real animal theme parks of Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater. Here the animals are running, nursing and eating in their natural habitats…this is your chance to see the big fives… lions, rhinoceros, leopards, buffalo or elephants in the wild. Perhaps you could spot a lion on a tree.
For those who are more adventurous, there is the climb up Mt Kilimanjaro with the knowledgeable guides and safe equipments.
With the diverse landscape come different flavours of adventures for travellers.
